Role Overview
We are seeking a high-performing, hunter-minded Sales Director with strong domain knowledge and a proven track record in selling IT services to clients in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance) sector. This role is ideal for a senior-level professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at opening new logos, and has deep relationships across financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive new business development efforts within the BFSI sector, targeting Tier-1 and Tier-2 banks, financial institutions, and insurance providers.
- Sell IT services such as digital transformation, cloud enablement, application services, and data analytics.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key client stakeholders including CIOs, CTOs, and Procurement Heads.
- Lead strategic pursuits, RFP responses, and proposal development in collaboration with pre-sales and solution teams.
- Negotiate contracts, close deals, and ensure seamless transition to delivery teams.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and meet/exceed quarterly revenue targets.
- Stay current with industry trends, client needs, and competitive positioning in the BFSI landscape.
- Represent the company at client meetings, industry conferences, and regional forums.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 12–15 years of experience in IT services sales, with a strong focus on hunting new business in the BFSI sector.
- Track Record: Demonstrated success in winning large enterprise clients across banking, financial services, and insurance.
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the BFSI domain, technology trends, and regulatory drivers.
- Skills: Excellent presentation, communication, and deal-closing skills. Experience in managing large, complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available.
