Job Summary
The Senior Healthcare IT Sales Executive will be a critical figure in our client’s Health Business Unit growth. This role is for a strategic advisor to clients in the US healthcare industry, leveraging a deep understanding of the US healthcare ecosystem and specific EHR/EMR systems like EPIC, Cerner, and Meditech. The successful candidate will drive revenue growth, expand market penetration, and solidify the company’s reputation as a leader in sophisticated healthcare IT services by helping clients with IT optimization, workflow streamlining, data migration, regulatory compliance, and patient care enhancement.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Strategic Business Development & Consultative Sales: Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities within target healthcare organizations. Engage with C-suite executives and key decision-makers using a consultative, relationship-centric approach. Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand client challenges.
- Solution Evangelism & Technical Acumen: Serve as the primary domain expert, articulating complex IT service offerings. Lead the development of comprehensive responses to RFPs and RFIs.
- Sales Cycle Management & Collaboration: Autonomously manage the full end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce.com). Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure tailored solutions and client success.
- Market Intelligence & Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of US healthcare industry trends, regulatory mandates (HIPAA, HITECH), emerging technologies, and EHR/EMR advancements. Provide market intelligence and feedback to product development and marketing teams.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10+ years of progressive experience within the US healthcare IT industry, with substantial experience focused on major EHR/EMR systems.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of US healthcare provider workflows, operational challenges, and regulatory landscape (HIPAA, HITECH, MACRA/MIPS).
- Technical Knowledge: Significant experience with healthcare data paradigms, interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR), and Health Information Exchange (HIE) concepts.
- Skills: Exceptional ability to conduct needs analysis and diagnose client business problems. Strong negotiation, influencing, and closing skills. Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to rapidly learn and articulate complex technical information.
